Lammeeya

My blog is slowly turning into a foodie blog with all the overloaded food posts lately. Life is short and eating is a way of enjoying life! Yet there is one consequence that I need to bear; an extra spare tyre (if you get what I mean)

So this was 2 weeks ago when the boyf and I went to Empire Shopping Gallery for the first time for the sake of macaroons. I've been nagging at him about the macaroons for like forever :P

After strolling around, we settled in Lammeeya for lunch cause the boyf was craving for Lam Mee.

#1. The original Lam Mee
#2. My order; Chicken Hor Fun (cause I don't really like Lam Mee)
#3. Fried dumplings & bean curd skin (fu chuk)
#4. The heavenly Royal Milk Tea!
#5. Total damage of RM30 for two (which I find reasonable for a decent lunch)

Lammeya
Non Halal Restaurant
Empire Shopping Gallery LG31
Also available @ Damansara Uptown & One Utama
More details: Here or here!

Before lunch, we were strolling around, trying to find Whisk yet ended up going a few floors up to explore the whole Empire. I was thrilled to find that they have Charles and Keith YAY and even Coach!

#6. && he got me a gift for our anniversary in advance <3

This post wouldn't be complete w/o a photo of us camwhoring in the car, thanks to the swivel camera of my baby G12! Every second spent with you is a second I wouldn't want to trade for anything in this world ♡

On a sidenote, I got my Wildfire a new cover last Monday. It's a HOT HOT HOT neon pink baby now :D

Still hunting for a yellow and green one, till then my collection would be complete!

It's another brand new week, a week that I'm totally not looking forward. CR assignment dues on the following Monday so it's gonna cause me more sleep deprivation and increase in thickness of my eyebags this week. My determination’s low on radar already, sooner or later it will burn out. I might be on hiatus, putting my blog on hold till the assignment is done. Once it's handed in, the princess demands to be pampered, and you (whom you know who you are) should know what to do LOL *winks*

#supermoon ☾

Apparently this topic is trending on twitter and everyone seems to talk about it! I went to have a look at it and was actually fascinated by it for a sec. Quickly took my baby G12 and start snapping away but I was having a tough time figuring which mode to use;

#1. ☾Bright and round!

#2. The boyf wanting to be Gru from Despicable Me LOL

#3. Settling with AV mode & this is what I got (Y)

#4. Talking to the Moon, trying to get to you ♪♫

#5. Failed jump shot -__- and ended up looking like a ghost FML

Minutes later, the dark clouds started to roll in and cover up the moon sheesh so the boyf and I started camwhoring *pardon us* I'm lucky that I don't need to try to get him and hope that he is talking to me too on the other side :P Yet I'm not really a person who find looking at the moon with my loved one is something romantic HAHA

As a noob to the world of astrology, I went to google what's supermoon after that and of course Uncle Wiki comes to the rescue as always. It's a phenomena that occurs once in a blue moon where the moon will appear close to the earth and today is one of the date they predicted there will be #supermoon. According to another source; On Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time, the moon will arrive at its closest point to the Earth in 2011:  a distance of 221,565 miles (356,575 kilometers) away. And only 50 minutes earlier, the moon will officially be full. So it seems that Saturday night's #supermoon will actually be just a little less super than the full moon of Dec 2008. Some source even states that this happens only once in 20 years but Uncle Wiki said it happens 4-6 times annually. Scratch that, no one is going to read this anyway.

I still don't get it, so it was a #supermoon! Just that it's a less super hmmm any astrologist here is willing to clear my doubt? & fret not this #supermoon won't cause any tsunami or earthquake — Malaysian Meteorological Department.

Bummed out

When you’re struggling with something, look at all the people around you and realize that every single person you see is struggling with something, and to them, it’s just as hard as what you’re going through. —Nicholas Sparks

I'm in dire need of a proper time management and shitloads of brain juices. Or prolly kisses on the forehead and hugs will do too ♥ Time is certainly running out and my tummy has been upset since yesterday. Unbalanced hormones got me cranky too, this is not good. I need something to excite me right now. At the same time, I'm trying hard not to stress up with so many things that are yet to be done. Oh March, you snake in the grass!!

Ming Kee Bak Kut Teh

Note: This post is strictly non-halal.

I was craving for BKT so badly that I suggested BKT for dinner instead of Murni on last Tuesday night. We made our way to PJ Old Town but ended up lost after taking a wrong exit at the roundabout LOL After half an hour, we managed to find the place! FYI, it wasn't our first time eating there, Belinda brought us there once last year. The biggest difference at this restaurant is the way the BKT is served, their BKT is served in the old school bowls instead of claypot.

#1. Meat Bone Tea is love YUMS

#2. Garlic and spicy cili potong is a must for BKT!

#3. My date of the night: Joeann and Elin (:

#4. The service was fast! BKT came mins after ordering.

#5. Three layered pork with teow chew style BKT soup

#6. Extra soups; it tasted so good that the two had to order extra rice :P

#7. Yau mak with oyster sauce

#8. Side orders; Taufu pok(It tasted weird)
#9. It was almost 9pm yet the place was still packed with people.
#10. Captured this using the fish eye mode :P

We just can't stop sipping the soup, we even asked for refill! It would be perfect if they have dry based  BKT. From most of the reviews that I've read, we actually missed one of their famous dish: braised mushroom. Overall, the dinner costs us around RM 12 (including drinks) per person, pretty much what you’d expect from a decent and satisfying BKT meal. There's another BKT restaurant nearby call Heng Kee BKT (not sure if they are related), which was as good as Ming Kee BKT. Probably should try Heng Kee on our next visit (;

So, BKT lovers, feel free to make your way to Ming Kee with the directions below!

Meng Kee BKT is located opposite Public Bank at PJ Old Town

Address: Meng Kee Bak Kut Teh Jalan Pasar 1/21 Petaling Jaya, Selangor
GPS: 3.086565,101.646044
Tel: 017-291 1745

Happy Bee Kay Tee-ing :D
