Nadeje Patisserie Cafe

When it comes to Malacca, how you can you miss the famous Mille Crepe from Nadeje that has been the talk of the town! Since we were within walking distance to Dataran Pahlawan after sightseeing at the heritage area, Kew insisted that we should try out Nadeje.

Lo and behold, the famous Nadeje Patisserie Cafe which is located at Dataran Pahlawan, the second branch after the one at Plaza Mahkota. Mille crepe is a French cake made of many thin crepe layers. The word mille means "a thousand", implying the many layers of crepe but of course not literally a thousand. Usually, the Mille Crepe is made by 18 to 20 slices with the cream in each slice. There is wide variety of flavours of mille crepe available at Nadeje, ranging from RM9 per slice.

#1. Nadeje means hope in Czech language and was first opened back in 2005.

#2. The comfy interior and decorations behind the counter of the cafe.

#3. Green Tea Mille Crepe - High grade Japanese Green Tea, Home-Cooked red beans. It’s really Japanese Style! It was moderately sweet but sadly as a fan of green tea, I don't find this cake delectable. I don't feel like eating it anymore after a few bites.

#4. Banana Chocolate Mille Crepe -  Home made Banana’s puree mix with Fresh Cream, sand by Black Chocolate Crepe. It tastes more like a banana cake instead of banana chocolate to me. No no for this flavour.

#5. Close up of the banana slices :P

#6. Mocha Mille Crepe - I love the strong flavour of mocha and it was not too sweet. Coffee lovers might like this (:

#7. Let's start diggin' in!

#8. Look at those fine delicate layers of crepes filled with creamy filling.

#9. We ordered their non alcohol cocktails as well to quench our thrist, price ranging from RM3.80 to RM5.30. (Left to Right) Tropical Love, Summer time and Cool Down. IKR what a name and look they have this cute colourful heart stirer!  LOL

#10. Origin of Mille Crepe? Hmm what say you?

Guess what, we went there again the next day! This time we ordered different flavours of mille crepe and cocktails :P
#11. (Front to Back) Orange Yakult, Summer Time and Spring Time.
I would definitely recommend Summer Time and Spring Time, the perfect ice cold and fizzy thirst quencher on a hot sunny day!
#12. Rum & Raisin Mille Crepe - It somehow tasted quite similar like the original mille crepe, just with a tinge of rum and raisin fragrance. I think it was still acceptable and yummy to my liking (:

#13. Malacca Mille Crepe - topped with Gula Melaka (palm sugar) and whipped cream. It's a new flavour. Never like the taste of gula Malacca so I don't really fancy this flavour.

#14. Originial Mille Crepe - This cake is the origin of Nadeje Mille Crepe. Home made custard cream with Tahitian Vanilla Beans mix with Fresh Cream.

Just when I thought that Nadeje is one of those overrated dessert cafe, this flavour proves me wrong right after my first bite! I think this would probably be my favourite and I couldn't stop having it  I just love everything about it (Y) Although it was that good but it still doesn't made me craving for it, prolly cause I'm not really a cake lover.

#15. Fluffy light texture with the rich vanilla flavour that happily melts in my mouth *heaven*

#16. Beside mille crepes, they offers mouth watering and attractive looking fruit tarts and cakes too!

#17. Guess who I bumped into, my bestie from JB! She was on a one day trip to Malacca, I guess fate brought us here!! :D

#18. Now time for the usual drills; camwhoring! Ninja Kew and I. If you noticed, you can see that I was sun-kissed!

#19. The trios 8)

#20. Tourist shot in front of Dataran Pahlawan (:

#21. For dessert lovers, you might wanna try out Nadeje! Well, don't hesitate.
They are available at 2 outlets! :D But one thing for sure, it's usually packed and crowded especially during  the weekends, and they will put you in the waiting list.
