WE LOVE ASIA PRESENTS AVICII

Oh, sometimes I get a good feeling,
yeah I get a feeling that I never, never, never, never had before,
no no I get a good feeling, yeah

That's the first Avicii's song I heard when I get to know him, which is also the time I was introduced to EDM The next thing I know, BAM it was love at first sight hearing, if that makes sense :P I guess everyone is aware that he will be here next Saturday, performing LIVE at Sepang International Circuit, all thanks to WELOVEASIA!

Besides the Swedish superstar lad, confirmed line-ups like Bassjackers, Martin Garrix (omg can't believe that he's only 7teen and not to mention smoking hot too), Congorock and few other local artists will be there to entertain the crowd that night too! Does that sound tempting to you? Mmmmhmmm (;

Date: 30th of November 2013 (Saturday)
Time: 5PM onwards
Venue: Sepang International Circuit, The Welcome Center

Alright, I shall not beat around the bush and just get straight to the point; 5 best reasons as why Nuffnang should choose me to party with them at Avicii @ Sepang International Circuit.

#1. As cliche as it sounds, simply cause YOLO! Since I've missed him at Heineken Thrist 2012, I can't afford to miss his act again this year. It seems like the whole world is going, so how can I not join the bandwagon?

#2. I've never been to a rave party // hides self. And it's time to tick that off from my bucket list. I need to live by the motto #eatsleepraverepeat!

#3. I just want to have a good time! I'm so ready to rave and rock the dancefloor, in this case it would be Sepang's cement floor LOL \(._.\) ƪ(‘-’ ƪ)(ʃ ‘-’)ʃ (/._.)/ Who knows I get to meet some hot hunks too teehee Time to let my hair down and have a one hell of a night before grounding myself for the next two months to finish up my research proposal #lifeoffinalyearstudent There has been fair bits of ups and downs this November as well and I haven't been attending evens too due to my busy schedule. I'll be missing out on Wicked Festival and Urbanscapes too, such bummer! So it would be a huge deal if I could end November with a happy note, it's never too early to receive Christmas present from Nuffnang, I guess? :P

#4. It would be blessed if I could be the one to have a last dance with Avicii. I need him to wake me up from this sweet dreams.

#5. Cause nothing beats seeing him play live. It's A-freak-VI-king-CII yaw!
Been drowning myself with most of his tracks lately, who could ever get enough of him! And here's my all time favourite song of Avicii.

WELOVEASIA X ΛVICII ΛVICII ΛVICII ΛVICII ΛVICII ΛVICII
Hoping that I could get my hands on those tickets and party all night long. So pick me, choose me, cause I'm that desperate. Pretty please, with a cherry on top?
But remember folks, party hard party responsibly too! See you there, I hope :P

Malaysia International Gifts and Premium Expo 2013 is back!

Gifts! Presents! Well who doesn't like gifts?

If you want to delight someone, give them a gift (: True that! This saying is a driving force in the gift and premium industry. The art of gifting has been practiced on a personal and corporate level. Companies present gifts and premiums to show their appreciation to their customers and partners as well as for branding and incentive programs.

MIGP Expo 2013 is making its comeback as the 3-day intensive business gathering for gift & premium suppliers to showcase their latest range of products to potential customers from the corporate and public sector. It is the event where potential buyers visit to source for new gift ideas and meet the industry suppliers face-to-face.

Since Mother's Day would be over by the date this expo is held, you can still drop by to get a gift for  belated Mother's Day or Teacher's Day which is one next week, Father's Day in June or door gifts to be given out at your wedding or maybe birthday gift in advanced too? :P If you love art and crafts, you should probably check this expo out too. I believe there will be stalls selling stuff to make handmade crafts and presents.

Veet; Every Girl's Best Friend!

Know those days you feel unbeatable? Those are the days where your confidence gives you a glow that others are drawn to. I guess every girl out there would love to feel confident about themselves. Looking fantastic would usually makes you feel super-confident and while hair and makeup helps, it’s the soft, smooth, radiant skin that really completes the look. Wonder how? Veet is the answer!

Veet; no longer a strange term in the ladies' dictionary cause it's the world's number 1 depilatory products. Since I'm a student, I couldn't afford regular waxing session at the saloon (IPL is not even an option T__T), so home remedy is definitely the best choice for me! I myself have been a satisfied user of Veet for years and I still am because Veet gives me soft and smooth skin that brings out the confidence in me.
I've tried most of their products; be it cream or wax but my favourite has got to be the Veet hair removal cream cause it's painless, hassle-free, convenient (speaking of emergency!) and easy to use. It still  keeps my skin smooth after using it and what's even better? It's long lasting!
With Veet, I no longer have cuts, ugly looking stubs, coarser hair or even worse dark armpits; every girls' nightmare - usual aftermath of shaving. *proudly raising both hands to show off my armpits* HAHA But it doesn't just apply to my armpits, it works wonder in getting rid of unwanted hairs on my limbs and body as well.  〜(^∇^〜)(〜^∇^)〜 Thus, I can wear sleeveless tops, tank tops or shorts anytime and anywhere since it's forever so sunny in Malaysia. I don't think I can ever survive covering myself all up like an Eskimo here. By wearing anything I'm comfortable in, naturally I'll have the self-confidence that comes from within. It doesn't mean I need to dress up sexy to feel confident but it's the other way round. Having smoother and softer skin makes me less embarrassed to flaunt my skin. Likewise, I don't have to worry getting weird stares from public as if I'm some ugly hairy creature (╯。╰)  No doubt, no one likes being hairy.  So I guess Veet deserve to be every girl's best friend because with Veet, you can feel confident in no time *winks*

Check out my Veet-It-Off DIY outfit that I've revamped!
It's an oversized top that I've only worn once cause it's two size bigger than my usual size -__- And it's kinda plain so I decided to give it a vava-voom!

I tried tie-ing it up first and came up with these two different styles;
Hmmm, so what say you? *shake heads* I find them a tad too common and simple. Don't you think? So I decided to be audacious and come up with something bold and unique! *grabs a pair of scissor*

Now now, ready to see the revamped version 2.0 of my top?

Wait ............

For ....

It...

and VOILA! I present you my masterpiece #successkid.jpg
Since I have a big tummy, so I was thinking why not reveal my sexyback instead? Since it's flat :P

Instead of the usual cut out top, I decided to try out this cute bow back top, a top which I can wear for a casual day out or even for a day at the beach ( ´ ▽ `)
A better close up of the bow-back top! And guess what, no sewing is required!
Do let me know if you want a tutorial of it HEHE #buaypaiseh
I even trimmed off few inches of the front part of the top to make it asymmetrical (one of the latest trends ehemm) and I paired it with a high waist short instead of a jeans for my after-look just cause I can flaunt my smooth legs too!
So what do you think? (;

Last but not least, check out these videos brought to you by Veet

With Veet, you can now say goodbye to hairy problems \( ̄︶ ̄)/ Once again, thanks Veet for unleashing the confidence in me ❤

How to treat dry and dehydrated skin?

Before we start, we should know the what exactly dry and dehydrated skin is.You’ve probably heard both terms used before (:  Knowing the difference between dry skin and dehydrated skin is strictly important and treating it for what it needs is important.

Dry Skin vs. Dehydrated Skin. What’s the Difference?

Dry skin, as a skin type is alipidic skin that is not producing oil (sebum) in the skin while dehydrated skin, as a skin condition, lacks water content, but may still produce oil. It may be biologically inspired (genetic) or environmental. Dehydrated skin is common among those with oily and acne-prone skin who use harsh products that strip the skin of water. The most common mistake people make is thinking that their skin is dry when it’s really dehydrated. Dry skin is actually very rare,” says celebrity esthetician Joanna Czech, who works on numerous A-list faces. My face would fall in the category of dehydrated skin, as it still produce oil especially at my T-zone area. Even a beautician once told me before that my face skin is lack of water content, hence the pigmentation (looked like freckles) that I had on both of my upper cheek bone T__T

How do I treat my dehydrated skin? It is as simple as 'feeding' it with water to keep it moist all the time. Even as a person, if you're dehydrated, the only way to cure it is to hydrate yourself.
Since I'm still a student, my ways of treating my skin (especially my face) would be more wallet-friendly and convenient.

#1. I use facial products that aims in moisturizing care.
I bet everyone would have known this brand of facial product; HADA LABO that contains Super Hyaluronic Acid that lastingly hydrates and nourishes the skin for smooth, radiant and crystal-clear skin. It creates a moisture locking shield to help preserve skin’s optimum moisture balance. I usually start off by using the facial cleaner and top it with the moisturizing lotion on a daily basis, twice a day. Once a week, I will pamper my face with the moisturizing mask.

Poor cleansing and neglect can be the two main factors of dehydrated skin, so it is important to clean and moisture your face daily. Plus, never leave the skin bare for more than 60 seconds after washing. Toner, serum or moisturizer have to be applied.

Besides, I used this aquaholic sleeping mask on a weekly basis as well (:

Not forgetting my hands and legs that needs moisturizing too!
#2. Drink at least 8 glass of water per day. I've made this my habit, bringing water bottle everywhere and making sure I finish it. As we all know, water rejuvenates, hydrates cells and helps them move toxins out and nutrients in. Plus, it does help in losing some weight too :P WIN WIN HABIT, so drink more water (Y)

#3. Eat fruits and vegetables! My fave would be oranges and kiwis :D Oranges are rich in vitamin C, thus improving skin textures and clear skin blemishes. From a source that I read, it stated that consumption and application of Kiwi fruit helps ensure healthy, clear, beautiful skin.

#4. Avoid staying too often in air conditioned room as moisture evaporates quickly within the dry atmosphere of air conditioned. Besides, avoid being under the sun too often as well, thus shopping mall would be the best place to be HAHA jkjk

But still, I don't guarantee that all those steps above can 100% helps to treat dehydrated skin cause my skin is still in dire need of help. Hopefully I'm lucky enough to win this contest, because Cres Wellness has the  Time-release Aqua Cell Yoga Visage! What's that? Well according to Cres Wellness, it is a high-performance treatment for dry and dehydrated skin (you can hear my skin calling for help now) which reinforces skin architecture to provide a complete and thorough solution for skin hydration. Skin is highly moisturised and last for days. The Yoga lymphatic drainage stimulates the effective absorption of the rich moisture infused. The osmotic regulating features and reinforced hydrolipidic layer provide a time-release mechanism for continuous moisturizing that last for days. Key benefits - replenishes, rebalances and retains skin. Cres Wellness, pretty please with a cherry on top? :3

That's not it, I've still have another great news to share! CRES will be having their 9th Anniversary Sale Open Day on both 28th and 29th July (next weekends) from 10am to 8pm! A Magnolia Sherbet A Day Melts My Daily Blues Away

Besides having problem with Monday blues, I actually have this thing called daily blues. I'm not sure if it's only me or every students do experience the same thing as well. Blame the lazy bug in me! Examples of the so called daily blues:

#1. Getting up from bed early every morning for classes.
#2. Having major issues with weight.
#3. Feeling boring & sleepy during long lectures that never seem to end.
#4. Having piles of assignments that took over all the time to have fun.
#5. Being broke after uncontrolled retail therapy.
But no worries.... cause something awesome is on its way to the rescue! It's the refreshingly fruity F&N Magnolia Sherbet that comes in 4 different flavours; orange, lychee, mangosteen & melon!
I've been searching everywhere for these sherbets yet ended up failed every freaking time. So today I dragged Joeann along to Jusco Midvalley to try our luck! Guess what? We found it!! Each of us took 2 different flavours each and headed to the counter as fast as possible with the hope that these sherbets won't melt by the time we reached our hostel but they did T__T
After we reached the hostel, we quickly digged in and slurped (since it was alrdy melting)! Minutes later, we finished everything. So which is my favourite flavour of all? *drum rolls*

It would be the ORANGE flavoured sherbet!!! Why so? Cause....
#1. It has light and soft texture that lift my senses right away! *Double thumbs up*
#2. It contains orange puree in it too! (as we all know, orange is high in Vitamin C)
#3. All of these below, period :D
#4. It was so good that I jizzed on my pants.
magnolia sherbet
#5. Last but not least, I wanna be famous just like the annoying orange but I want to be known as the annoying orange sherbet eater! LOLOLOLOL I can sing the icecream song (I got some icecream, ♫ and you can have noneeeee, ♪♩ na 12x) So who's more annoying now?
So what are you waiting for? I can have the whole gallons of goodies and you can't have some cause I'm not sharing :P Instead of going for retail therapy/karaoke/expensive dinner, you can have F&N Magnolia Sherbet instead to make your day without even feeling guilty :D Available for only RM2.50 per cup at any hypermarket or local supermarket near you! The best part is you get a chance to get rewarded while enjoying the sherbets, more details here!

Stop Child Abuse!

Does the name Nurin Jazlin rings any bells? She was an eight year old girl who was abducted then sexually abused and brutally murdered in 2007. She was found on the morning of September 17, 2007,with a cucumber and a brinjal found stuffed inside her genitals and had caused her rectum to rupture. This news was once spread countrywide and I believed it must have brought grief to all the readers. So do you remember now? How about the five years old Sharlinie Mohd Nashar who was abducted and is still no where to be found after several years?

And there's actually many other cases which were left with a question mark, unsolved. These kind of cases are certainly no longer something new to us and the sad part is these cases have been increasing year by year and getting more serious; according to Social Welfare Department of Malaysia indicated each year at least 1,000 children in Malaysia are reported as victims of child abuse, molestation and rape. With high statistics of child abuse, children rights are obviously taken away and they also loose their opportunity to live healthy and happily.
Child abuse can be defined as intended or unintended harm to a child by another person who may be parents, relatives or guardians. Tragically, children experience violence in all spaces most familiar to them: in homes, schools, parks and communities they live in. They also suffer abuse and exploitation even in orphanages, on streets, in the workplace, in cyberspace as well as in places of detention which means EVERYWHERE!
Acts of child abuse that I would never want to see to happen again;
  • Violence against children. Be it physically, sexually or emotionally. However, violence against children is often ignored and perpetrated with impunity.
  • Child trafficking. Children are trafficked for a variety of purposes, including for bonded and exploitative labour, begging, sexual exploitation, illegal adoption and child marriage.
  • Commercial sexual exploitation of children/Child prostitution. Local and foreign demand fuels the commercial sexual exploitation of children as young as 5 years old to satisfy to lust and financial benefit of numerous heartless beasts out there. The growing use of new technologies, including the Internet, has made it easier as well to promote sex tourism, lure children, and disseminate child pornography across the globe. Just so you know, in Cambodia, it has been estimated that about a third of all prostitutes are under 18 and in Thailand, the exact number of child-prostitutes in Thailand is not known, but Thailand’s Health System Research Institute reports that children in prostitution make up 40% of prostitutes in Thailand.
  • Verbal abuse. Verbal abuse is still abuse. It’s a type of abuse in the form of words. They still burn, sting, hurt and put children in danger. Don’t assume that a few hurtful words won’t cause them their life. Don’t assume that just because you haven’t put one finger on them, you’re not responsible for what happens after that. Mentally and emotionally, they are bruising, bleeding, suffocating. It could include name-calling, ridicule, degradation, excessive criticism, inappropriate or excessive demands, and routine labeling or humiliation.
All children are born to grow, to develop, to live, to love, and to articulate their needs and feelings for their self-protection. I personally don't dare to search or even post photos of abused children cause they made my eyes teary and heartbroken. These innocent children certainly deserve a safe and protected life for a brighter and colourful future because they are the generations that will be the hope and leaders of our country in the future. By just merely raising your hands and say no to child abuse are merely not enough cause actions speak louder than words (; Do show your support and be the voice of those who cannot speak up. Don't hesitate to call 15999 immediately to report as well if you suspected is are being abused.
In the U.S.A., a Blue Ribbon Campaign against child abuse originated in the spring of 1989 when Bonnie Finney of Virginia tied a blue ribbon to her car antenna, as tribute to her three year old grandson, Michael Bubba Dickinson, who died at the hands of his abusive father. The blue color of the ribbon symbolizes the color of bruises. (Source: here)
    Now that I've done my part, so how bout you? (;

Go on board now here and be one of the 100,000 to show that you actually care!

Are you moist enough?

Whenever he is around, he makes me wetmoist. A feeling like no other. By him, I actually mean VASELINE. Yes, you hear me right, it's VASELINE, the one that has always been keeping my skin ah-mazing.

But how?

I was once an unhappy girl cause of my dry skin with super visible ugly pores ):

I will die for moist and soft skin (especially my hands) cause I will be earning a living in a future with my pair of hands. As a physiotherapist, I will need my hands to treat my patients. Who on earth would want a person with rough and dry hands to touch you? It will definitely cause discomfort.

I believe that everyone will do whatever it takes to have soft and moist skin, including myself. So I tried every lotions/moisturizers available out there (You name it, I've got it) but they never work. There will still be a white line everytime I give a scratch on my skin, until the day I finally found Vaseline!

Not letting go any chances, I got myself Vaseline and decided to give it a try!

Why bother to get the small one when you can have the big one?! I personally love these two a lot (: You can opt for a smaller one as well so that it will be convenient for you to bring it along anywhere, anytime.

But of course, Vaseline won't do any miracle without our own effort! So, all you have to do is just to apply some amount onto your hand and give it a gentle massage or rub.

Photobucket

& VOILA, SAY HELLO TO MOIST HANDS! I swear your boyfriend will never ever let go of your hands. Plus, it smells really nice too, I kid you not okay!

Not to forget my going-to-be-healthy-white big elephant legs as well. People normally focused on their hands that they neglected their legs but mine definitely need some protection too because I usually prefer to wear shorts most of the time. I would use a pair of white moist looking leg to boost my confidence in public! Well, this clearly show you that Vaseline can work perfectly fine on any part of your body. To add on, I once experienced my skin literally peeling off at both of my arms, shoulders and even my fingers! I totally freaked out so I tried applying Vaseline to see if it would work. Amazingly, it did! Everything goes back to normal in just two weeks ;) Now, that's AMAZING.

Next you asked me, how to be moist? Well, Here are my five easy breezy steps to share:
  1. Avoid caffeine, smoking, and alcohol. They act as diuretics and are guaranteed to suck your skin dry!
  2. Increase your water level. Drink up! Everyone knows the rule; at least 8 glasses of water a day to keep your skin properly hydrated.
  3. Catch some ZZZs. Your body repairs and regenerates its skin cells during sleep. If you aren't getting enough good sleep, your skin will become dull and dry.

See, even my baby dumbo thinks I'm moist *blush*
  4. Eat a balanced diet that includes plenty of fruits, vegetables and whole grains. Eat food that high in vitamins A and B, which can contribute to skin health.
  5. Last but not least, protect your skin from elements such as wind, sun, heat, and cold because constant exposure to these elements will dehydrate skin and exacerbate the condition of skin.
The question is what if I usually spend my time outdoor and in air-conditioned classroom? Step 5 is totally inapplicable. I can't be wearing long sleeves or bringing an umbrella along all the time to make sure that not even a bit of my skin will be exposed. That's ridiculous! But with Vaseline, there will be no more worries. Awesome, no?

Now that I have Vaseline, I can enjoy outdoor activities too and have healthy skin at the same time as well :D That's like killing two birds with one stone HAH

All thanks to Aloe Fresh Cool and Fresh Body Lotion that replenishes my skin with a sheer burst of hydration. Fast-absorbing and non-sticky moisture leaves my skin feeling cool and healthy. (Source from here) It feed my skin with refreshing nutrients even during hot days.

My one and only reliable buddy during sunny day, I'm totally loving it ♥

Ze Aftermath;

Healthy, extra fair and moist skin for sure. What else can you ask for?

So what if I'm moist enough? I can be the next Jessica Alba (She's one of the top 10 celebrities with pretty long legs) but of course minus the look, the height, the big boobs, but wait that's not Jessica Alba anymore. That will be Hilda not so Alba *smack head* Is there even top 10 celebrities who have moist skin? Or maybe I'll the next spoke person for Vaseline wearing a Paris Hilton face mask? LOLOL Back to the point,

Refreshing as it looks, with Vaseline on my skin, it make me feel like I'm dipping myself in the pool whole day long! So cool and fresh :D

So what are you waiting for? Hurry up and go grab your own Vaseline at pharmacy stores or supermarket near you!

It's selling like hot cakes everywhere, something you won't wanna miss 8)

Btw, Vaseline is kind enough to come up with its new body lotion range catering to different skin needs, with variants like Total Moisture, Healthy White, Intensive Rescue, and Aloe Cool and Fresh. So what's your flava? ;D

Good news doesn't end here yet. The best part? Vaseline is having a contest especially for us Nuffnangers so that we can all celebrate OUR amazing skin! The 75 best written blog posts will win a pair of invites to the poolside party, and stand a chance to win prizes worth RM10,000. With local jazz artiste Yuna, dashing comedian Kuah Jenhan and celebrity host Jojo Struys there, this is the poolside party that you don't wanna miss!

Last question, are you moist enough to join the fun? I sure am!

xx
