An envelope in an envelope

You've got mail!

I've finally received the mail that I've been anticipating over the last weekends. Thanks Mr. Postman :D Pos express was rather effective this time, arrived a day after it was posted.



Guess what comes in the mail? Wait for it....

I love the fact that it's so nicely wrapped, in double layer somemore! && with my name written on it. You can tell that the dealer is such a coordinated person (Y) So, any idea yet? Here's a sneak peek for you :P

Tadaaaa! An envelope clutch, that I've been wanting for so long ♥ So that's how my post title comes about, an envelope clutch in the pos express envelope LOL It was smaller than I thought it was, but it can still fit an A4 sized paper.

If you're an avid fan of LOOKBOOK.nu or tumblr, you must have stumbled upon this envelope clutch that comes in so many shades. I chose vintage oak brown so that it's easier to match my clothes.

It comes with detachable long and short sling strip (:

... and it has this magnetic button snap closure.

I've been searching online for quite some time for this bag and finally found it in Chic Chick from Shopping Roll. I can totally assure you that Chic Chick offers the lowest price online, for only RM25 (omg such a steal!) exluding postage. I even saw blogshops that sells envelope clutches ranging from RM30 to RM45 and even RM52 w/o postage, that's like double the price I got for mine :O

I missed the second preorder, email-ed the dealer but luck wasn't on my luck that time. They wont be receiving any order yet they are kind enough to give me a glimmer of hope that they did order few pieces extra for certain colours, so I may still get it in few weeks time. Since there were no news from them after 3 weeks, I have to urge to email them again to see if the stocks have arrived. Waited for a few days and they finally replied! :D At first it seems like I have to wait for the next pre order session but since they had extra pieces for the colour I wanted, they reserved one for me and few days later, it safely arrived at my doorstep *mad happy* Oh they even send you your package tracking number and made it in a list in their blogshop. How nice of them! It was such a pleasant experience to shop with them (:

The international success of J Summer Fashion Show @ Savoy London

J Model Management's Summer Fashion Show at the world's iconic celebrity destination Savoy London on 30 June 2011 gained tremendous international success over night. Showcasing the most spectacular collections by top designers from 10 fashion capitals in the famous Lancaster Ballroom, the show marked a new wave of young and multi-talented fashion show organisers, started by J Models' director Jessica Minh Anh.

"What is so special about the show is that J Models took care of the whole backstage preparation and put designers at ease. It was definitely a challenge as designers are used to being hands on but I was very much enjoying myself front row" said Malaysian sensation Danny Tang.

"I was amazed at how calm and collection Jessica and her team was throughout the day considering the millions of aspectes to be put together for the show. The venue, the stage, models, music, and overall atmostphere were absolutely breath taking" said BBC WM reporter Jenny Jones

Besides over two hundred international designers, brand managers and representatives from UK fashion and beauty companies and PR agencies, British TV faces like Jayne Wisener, Kelly Adams, Dawn Porter, and Shaun Smith, VIPs on the red carpet included country ambassadors from Austria, Argentina, Vietnam, Ireland, Lithuania, Romania, Trinidad & Tobacco, andKyrgyzstan. After the VIP entrance photos in front of J Summer Fashion Show official banner, guests were all seated to enjoy the show along the 18 metre long catwalk.

Maria Moderna collection portrayed a modern and glamorous woman living her dynamic life. It combines two very different things: sportswear and elegant dresses from the seventies. The collection introduced full of flat-quilted pieces and can be worn for every occasion, giving the modern woman that delicate and rich look

Gregor Clemens (Germany)

J Summer Fashion Show marked the invasion of German designer Gregor in the UK fashion scene. His collection charmed the audience with the contemporary corset cuts dresses. “I mainly used fabrics you normally would use for upholstery. These are a bit stiffer, so I can form them into shapes I want” said Gregor Clemens.

Danny Tang (Malaysia)

Jessica Minh Anh selected Danny Tang as the representative from Malaysia to showcase his stunning collection of both couture and ready wear dresses “I play with the classic shapes like round, square, triangle and mix them into my Spring/Summer collection” said Danny Tang. His creations, which will be showcased in London and Paris this September, were inspired by classic old Hollywood menswear details mixed into extremely feminine cocktail and evening dresses.

Maicco (Georgia)

Maicco, who accessorized the dresses with pieces of musical instruments, added a jazzy feel to the night. The collection is very creative, interesting, and colourful. You cannot help but falling in love with it. 11 looks from Maicco uses the atypical colour palette that includes terracotta, dark greens, gunmetal grey and a host of others to make a statement and gives the entire collection a breath of fresh air. “I love Maicco’s collection, which stands out as the individual in a crowd. It’s charismatic and experimental.” said Jessica Minh Anh

Charlotte Sparre (Denmark)

Charlotte's collection charmed the audience with colour, freshness, and youth. "The silk dresses and scarves were stunning. It was a combination of elegance and liveliness" said BBC WM reporter. Differing itself from her usual silk outfit, Charlotte's signature piece was a black and purple fur coat, which stood out from the rest and stole the show. Charlotte Sparre's colourful collection emphasized a personal statement and illustrated female energy by being delicate, colourful and unique

Addy van den Krommenacker (Netherlands)

The Paris Fashion Week designer ended the show with a spectacular collection. The dresses, most of which have a train ranging from sweeping to royal length, were made with metallic chained- mail, taffeta, and chiffon fabrics. The collection includes a short pink dress which looks as if it was made from thousands of feathers. The signature big dress with green laces, giant stones, and golden details worn by Jessica Minh Anh at the centre stage left a memorable ending to the show.

Mad Hatter Boutique (Romania)

Mad Hatter Boutique's hats and fascinators were teamed up with various UK and international designers to create the wow factor. "I wanted to have a collection that represents what Mad Hatter Boutique usually stands for: unique pairing of sometimes unexpected elements" said Madalina. Using unconventional materials with big flowers to be the central element, the collection is bold and yet elegant and wearable. "It was absolutely amazing seeing my hats on the runway along with pieces belonging to so many talented designers. I thought that the pairing of the Mad Hatter Boutique headpieces and the clothes was really inspiring and I have to thank Jessica Minh Anh and her team for showcasing my designs in the best possible way" said Madalina

If you're a fan of Beyoncé Knowles, she has just released her latest album, 4 on June 24th. Apparently, 4 was her favourite number since she was a kid. It was her birthdate as well, and her Mum's and husband's too IKR so that's why the album is named 4. For more details, click here and you can listen to all her tracks!
